Dear valuable client,
On Friday, January 25, 2019 at 19:00 pm we will be upgrading our server to a new powerful server. Additionally, to support with the new upgrade, we need to upgrade MySQL to ver.5.7. Since MySQL 5.6, the old password hashing mechanism was completely removed and it's no longer possibly to simply add "old passwords = 1" to enable the old hashing. This means some sites WILL need to update their passwords for the databases and updated in their corresponding code files to continue working.
How to change the password of a MySQL user in cPanel?
We expected the migration to take more 8 hours to complete. During this time your website will be down & will not be able to retrieve new email from the server. We will be spooling email to ensure no email is lost and will unspool email when we have completed the move and tested the system. The reason we are upgrading our server. First is due to growth of our system, instead of putting a stopgap on our clients overall usage we are working to expand our infrastructure to allow for this growth. The second is to ensure we can reach our goal of 99.99% uptime by continuing to provide a stable, fault-resistant platform.
